Arun Jaitley serious charge against Rahul Gandhi, says Congress President was a partner in UK firm Backops Limited
New Delhi: (04/05/2019) Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in a Series Allegation against Congress President Rahul Gandhi calls Backops a ‘liasoning firm’ and said that his business partner got defence offset contract under UPA.
Addressing the Media, Finance Minister Jaitley said,
“Rahul Gandhi business partner got defence offset contract under UPA. It’s story of a man who aspired to be a defence deal pusher & today aspires to be India’s PM. It’s a serious charge &*I think it’s my responsibility to make good discharge.”
He further said, “he going to be judged by the standards and level of proof he’s laid down. He became part of a corporate group which had no business except pushing transactions. It’s a govt-to-govt contract with France. Offsets went to a little-known company and not someone remote, but someone who was part of his Rahul Gandhi’s own business transactions & social circle. They become beneficiaries of offset. Question is ‘how would you like now to be judged?’
“What becomes clear from all this evidence? A company with no manufacturing gets formed in India & in U.K. UPA govt gives Scorpene contract to DCNS. A simple Indian company gets offset, Rahul Gandhi withdraws, his partner remains,” Jaitley said.
“It’s a story of a man who aspired to be a defence deal-pusher and today aspires to be the Prime Minister of India,” added Jaitley.
