Asia Pacific Institute of Management organized “IT Area Activity: LAN Strategy Games: Counter Strike” for PGDM (2014-16) vs (2013-15) Batch. Through this game, students had an experience of strategy and teamwork thorough IT based games & applications.

The latest craze that has taken up all game freaks by a storm is Counter Strike. Students, mostly guys, actively participated in this LAN based game and each of the teams had to cleverly strategize their move to outdo the opponent.

Dr  S.P Chauhan , Officiating Director Said that, “The way in which a game of Counter Strike plays out is what leads to a sudden influx of social activity. When a player dies, they are out and cannot do anything until the next round begins. Sitting around and waiting to play again may not sound like the greatest experience, but in fact this waiting period makes the core of why CS works.  During this time, players can talk to each other, either via text chat or voice chat. You’d think this would result in an influx of profanity, spam and general irritation, but in fact it’s quite the opposite. There’s this unspoken culture built into CS which causes the majority of players to interact with each other friendly way, be it through competitive talk or simply public banter.

One of the main reasons why the Counter Strike series is still the most played game is these social interactions. He further said that Student  should keep moving forward in life. Today, youngsters have to make themselves count and contribute to the society and country. You all are the future and it’s largely depends on you that how you shape yourselves in right direction and make your parents, institute and country proud.
