Noida, 24 August 2022: The Bank of Maharashtra conducted its Credit Outreach Program Retail and MSMEs for the customers on 23 August in Noida.
At the event, the bank officials sanctioned many home loans and MSME loans for the customers.
They also emphasised on the benefits of different categories of loans as well and all the customers were well-engaged with the officials about their problems with the bank.
Banks’ Zonal Manager, Noida, Bikram Tripathy thanked the customers for their support to the Bank of Maharashtra, “We have done extremely well with almost all major banking parameters, that is, key financial parameters such as efficiency indicators. It is also because of the customers that we are the lowest in the non-performing assets that means are bad loans are lowest in the industry, less than 0.9% so the customers are not only trusting the bank, they are loyal also.”
While the Deputy ZM, Noida, Sribatsa Karan hailed the outreach programs deeming it successful for the bank, “getting a good proposal is difficult for any bank in the industry, therefore, we are planning to have credit outreach programs through which we will get customers and even referral customers. We are then going to finance the customers who have been tested in the market and have some banking knowledge so that there will be no difficulty in future regarding the repayment and other liabilities.”
When asked about the risk of bad loans of the bank due to lending more loans to the MSMEs and small businesses, Tripathy stated that loans are lended after checking the profile and risks of the business. Bad loans are not a crime. If we are giving loan to a business to facilitate business generation, then there is lesser possibility of defaults.
“With such credit outreach programs, our intention is to facilitate direct interaction between the bank and the customer as we are in the office and have limited interaction with the customers. Therefore, we can get in communication directly with our customers rather than going through the long way and lose our business,” he concluded.
The event also witnessed presence of Anurag Rahul, AGM, Branch Head, Noida Main Branch, Ankit Rathi, sector-75 Branch Manager among others.
