Bank of Maharashtra Launches Foreign Exchange Centre in Atta Market

NOIDA, 9 June 2022: The Bank of Maharashtra has launched the foreign exchange centre at the Sector-27 branch of the bank in Noida on June 9.
The new foreign exchange centre was inaugurated by Chitra Datar, General Manager and Zonal Head of Delhi region followed by the lamp lighting ceremony.
Chitra Datar, General Manager and Zonal Head of Bank of Maharashtra, Delhi zone said, “it is the 30th foreign exchange centre in India that is being inaugurated. Earlier, customers from Noida and other regions would have to go to Connaught Place’s branch or seek services from other banks. But with this forex centre, all the customers will be benefitting from the services related to foreign exchange and we will also get a good forex business.”
It is a type B centre that offers facilities such as pre-shipment credit, post-shipment credit, foreign LCA, and foreign trade finance among other services, she added.
While addressing the prospective the Dy. General Manager and Zonal Head, Noida, Bikram Tripathy said, “I am glad to inform you that the CASA deposits are highest in the industry and the efficiency indicator of the Bank Of Maharashtra is number one in today’s time. We have about 58% CASA deposits and the NPA has come down to 0.97% means customers are loyal and agree with us.”
“As far as the foreign exchange centre is concerned, it is now established in category B-AD so the customer can come to any branch and seek foreign exchange services such as FE Remittances, collections, and other services,” he added.
On this occasion, Dr C B Jha, President of Atta Market Association who was also present at the inauguration said that the Bank of Maharastra is dedicated to the welfare of the people. It is rare to witness the ED of a company talking to every street vendor about their financial problems and resolving them. Dr Jha also expressed his gratitude to the bank for launching a foreign exchange centre in Atta Market.
The event was also graced by Nayana Sahasrabuddhe, Dy. General Manager and Incharge Govt Business Cell, Delhi, Anurag Rahul, AGM, Branch Head, Noida Main Branch, Bikram Tripathy, Dy. General Manager and Zonal Head, Noida.
