Mr Ramesh Menon, StrategicAdvisor, Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana (SAGY) & Lok Sabha, of Jaunti Village informed that Dr Udit Raj (Ex-IRS),Member of Parliament, North-West Delhi, has appointed Ms Rashi Kapoor, of Indian origin, winner of Victoria State Beauty Pageant and the National finalist at the Miss World Australia as the BRAND AMBASSADOR for Jaunti, to contribute towards & accelerate the development of Village Jaunti, under North West Delhi, as an Adarsh Gram. In a first of its kind, Dr Udit Rajhas gone beyond enlistment of strategic domain experts, for the development of his adopted village Jaunti under the Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana (SAGY).Not only Ms RashiKapoor would spread the message about the unique efforts of Dr. Udit Raj in his constituency, but also actively solicit expertise and resources from the overseas.

Ms Rashi Kapoor, visited Jaunti village along with RachnaKalra, JalajTripathi,SoniaGurnani, Swapanil,Babita,Reeta Sarkar,Satveer Kaur andspent an entire day at the village interacting with women and children.

Ms Rashi Kapoor said “The issues of women and children are close to my heart and I was so happy to see the diligence and structured approach of Dr. Udit Raj”.“And to know that the village has it’s own website (www.merajaunti.com), a unique health initiative, social empowerment & augmentation of infrastructure was heartening. More power to Dr. Udit Raj & his team of professional volunteers”

The village women entertained the guest from Australia with folk songs and anecdotes of how the self-help mission is being developed for the holistic development of the village.  Ms. Rashi Kapoor was accompanied by a few business leaders from Australia and India during her visit.
