Greater Noida News (14/05/2026): The third edition of Bharat Shiksha Expo 2026 commenced with a grand inauguration ceremony at the India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida, bringing together leading educators, policymakers, institutions, industry experts and thousands of students under one roof. The three-day mega education and career guidance event, being organised from May 14 to 16, aims to help students make informed academic and career choices in an increasingly competitive and technology-driven world.

The inaugural session was attended by prominent dignitaries including Sudeep Sarcar, CEO of India Exposition Mart Ltd. (IEML); Dr. Zahir Khan, Chairman of the Federation of Education in India (FOEII); Anil Pratham, IPS and Chairperson of the Advisory Board of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Sports Foundation; and Dr. Sandeep Singh Kaura, Advisor at NSDC, along with academicians, institutional leaders and senior officials.

Addressing the gathering during the inauguration, Sudeep Sarcar described Bharat Shiksha Expo as a transformational platform created to guide students standing at one of the most critical turning points of their lives after their Class 12 board examination results. He said the expo has been specially designed to answer the doubts, fears and aspirations of students and parents seeking clarity about higher education, careers and future opportunities.

Until yesterday, many students were standing at one of the most important crossroads of their lives because of their Class 12 board examination results. Bharat Shiksha Expo has been designed to answer those questions and provide direction to students who are searching for the right path forward, Sudeep Sarcar said.

Highlighting the growing impact of the event, Sudeep Sarcar stated that the previous two editions of Bharat Shiksha Expo had successfully helped thousands of students and parents connect with top educational institutions and discover meaningful career opportunities. He said the third edition has been planned on an even larger scale with a stronger focus on innovation, counselling and future-ready skills.

We are proud of the impact created by the previous editions. Thousands of students and parents have benefited by interacting directly with institutions and experts. This year, the expo has evolved into one of India’s most dynamic education and career guidance platforms where students can gain not only admission-related information but also confidence about their future, he added.

Sarcar informed that over 50 leading institutions from across the country are participating in the expo, including IIT Madras, Amity University, KIIT Deemed to be University, Sharda University and Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College. He said the organisers are expecting nearly 30,000 students, parents and education professionals during the three-day event, with an estimated footfall of around 10,000 visitors each day.

A major attraction this year is the inclusion of the “Vishwa Guru Sammelan” by the Federation of Education in India (FOEII), which Sarcar described as one of the most significant additions to Bharat Shiksha Expo 2026. According to him, the summit will serve as a high-level national and international dialogue platform focusing on India’s educational transformation and its emergence as a global knowledge hub.

Speaking about the opportunities available for students at the expo, Sarcar said participants will get access to career counselling sessions, admission guidance, scholarship information, masterclasses, quizzes, hackathons, ideathons and expert-led panel discussions over the next three days. He emphasised that the platform has been designed not just to provide information, but to inspire confidence and clarity among students.

I am sure students will use this opportunity to ask questions, explore possibilities and gain clarity about their future. At the same time, I request parents, who are a child’s first mentors, to use this platform to support students with trusted information and expert guidance, he said.

The three-day expo will feature innovation-driven activities including hackathons, codethons, agrithons, AI-focused discussions, SciTech quizzes, design-thinking workshops and counselling sessions aligned with the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. Organisers believe the event will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between education, skills and employability while preparing students for emerging opportunities in sectors such as Artificial Intelligence, data science, engineering, medicine, management, liberal arts and vocational education.
