BIMTECH calls for encashing the post-pandemic business ecosystem for holistic development

March 2022, Greater Noida: Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH) & Atal Incubation Centre- BIMTECH (AIC-BIMTECH) recently hosted a long-awaited, multi-country, international event, Amalgam 2.0. This event facilitated shared knowledge and learning, through enlightening and valuable panel discussions as a fundamental exchange. Comprising a period spanning 4 days, 20 sessions, and 62 speakers from 17 different countries, it imparted interesting insights to aspiring start-ups, the intelligentsia and other participants from the start-up and  Incubators ecosystem.

Many esteemed dignitaries and stakeholders graced this virtual event with their presence, notably, Sripriya Ranganathan, (Ambassador – India to South Korea), Rony Yedidia-Clein, (DCM – Embassy of Israel in India), Prof. Chintan Vaishnav, ( Mission Director – AIM), Ramanan Ramanathan, (First Mission Director – AIM), Jeet Vijayvargiya, (CEO – MeitY Startup Hub), Vinamra Mishra, (Director –  Ministry of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises), Nitish Mittersain, (Founder – Nazara Technologies), Yogesh Bellani, (Former CEO – FieldFresh Foods Private Limited), Dr. H. Chaturvedi,  (Director – BIMTECH), and many other eminent speakers across the globe.

This reinvigorated multilateral and inclusive event called attention to the core values of an entrepreneurial ecosystem that underpinned collective action, mutual support and addressed concerns raised by stakeholders from all quarters. While encapsulating the core agenda; contemporary issues where the entrepreneurial world faced myriad challenges, upheavals and peril caused by a pandemic; this multi stakeholder dialogue lauded ideas or actions as stepping stones to ensure bright possibilities for the future.

This effective multilateral engagement ended on a high note with an exciting announcement regarding the launch of forthcoming promising programs like “InsurTech” and “Incubation Centre Development Program” as well as highlighted the startups selected for “Startup India Seed Fund Scheme” i.e., Cricinshots, Likhotronics, Krishi Sambandh (Mapdek), CreditSiddhi (Finnovus), LoadExx (Electrologic), Nu Payment Technologies, O’2 Nails India & Dectrocel. As per Dr. Harivansh Chaturvedi, Director, Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH), “The business ecosystem evolved aftermath of the covid pandemic with much resilience and we must encash this opportunity for development and strive towards capacity building, keeping in view of our SDG targets in a holistic way with the gender-inclusive approach in domestic and global value chains”.

This event had been supported by many prestigious partners like AIM – Niti Aayog, Start-Up India, Startin UP, Start-Up Odisha, Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC),  AWS, Givfunds, F6S etc; academic partners like BIMTECH, GIMS, DPU, BGU, GLBITM, JEMTECH & MIMT; and, outreach partners like Startup Buddy Services, Kolkata Ventures, MSG 91, GreytHR etc., who joined hands to support the cause. Dr Abha Rishi, CEO, Atal Incubation Centre- BIMTECH invited ecosystem enablers to create a new and better world for Incubators or accelerators and called upon all stakeholders to give composite and actionable shape to the entrepreneurial ecosystem. She said, “The global entrepreneurial ecosystem is cohesive and immensely supportive, due to which this event was made possible. We are looking forward to bringing similar robustness into the Indian ecosystem as well”.
