BIMTECH’s 10th Anniversary Celebration of HR Round Table, 2021- Day 3

One of the most crucial leadership abilities that distinguish exceptional leaders from average ones is their capacity to inspire. An inspirational leader can instil motivation in his employees because it is his belief and conviction that motivates them to attain their objectives.

Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH), Greater Noida, successfully organized a 3 – day event of HR Round Table Conference, from 22nd October to 24th October 2021 in association with National HRD Network and Deloitte as knowledge partners.

Day -1 & 2 focused on bringing our eminent panellists on common grounds, to collate their experiences and to predict future roadmap for leadership. On the day – 3 the institute with the help of the Quiz club (QCB) and HR department organized an online business Quiz: Hercules on Kahoot.com to break the monotony. The quiz was compered by Dr Amrendra Pandey (Convenor QCB) and Ms Shubhi Shrivastava. The quiz was based on the HR and Business domain.

Mr Venkatesh Srinivasan, CEO and Founder, Nexus Consulting was the quizmaster of the event. The quiz format was designed keeping in mind effectiveness and transparency.

The event commenced at 4 pm with a brief introduction of Mr Srinivasan by the organizing team at BIMTECH. The quiz was open to students as well as corporates with no age restriction. There were over 700 registrations, and an enthralling competition took place.

Participants had to clear the prelims that included 25 Questions and each question had to be answered within 30 seconds based on HR and other business concepts from various domains. Thereafter, the top 9 contestants on the leaderboard were selected for the final round.

Dr H. Chaturvedi, Director BIMTECH, expressed his gratitude to Mr Venkatesh Srinivasan for making the evening a success. He also mentioned, “We should take it as an adventure and smile.” As a true leader would do, he cheered all the participants and raised their confidence.

The last and final round, fun with fundas started with an introduction of all the 9 top participants 3 of which were students and 5 belonged from various other organizations such as Nestle, IIT, etc. Also, the brief was given about the upcoming rounds, rules and regulations, and other important information. The final round consisted of 4 rounds with 10 questions each. The first round was a clockwise quiz for the contenders, followed by a buzzer round named “The eyes have it”, the third round being an anti-clockwise quiz named “Beat the retreat” and the final round being “The final sprint. Every participant was asked questions and 10 marks were allotted for each correct answer.

By the end of the evening, Mr Preetham a student at SJMSOM, Bombay came out as the winner of the quiz: Hercules. The second position was backed up by Mr JayaKanthan a professional working at TCS and the third position was held by Mr Gokul a student
at Delhi School of Economics. BIMTECH recognized their effort and prize money of Rs. 50,000 was given to the winner along with Rs. 30,000 and Rs. 20,000 was awarded to the first and second runner up of the wonderful evening. The declaration of the final results brought about an end to a fun-filled and exciting evening with some of the smartest people engaging in a battle of wits.

With the end of Day – 3, BIMTECH marks the end of the 10th HR Round Table conference 2021. The event concluded in high spirits and on a successful note. BIMTECH has always taken pride in providing an amazing platform for business leaders to come together and share their knowledge and views in a series of panel discussions based on critical HR and business topics. Over these 10 years, around 150-panel leaders, appeared on 37 panels and over 700-panel discussions have taken place in this ongoing series. The institute will carry forward these discussions to predict the future of leadership development in India.
