BIMTECH’s 30th Foundation Day Celebration Culminates with Grand Kavi Sammelan, Rahat Indori Enthrals Audience

BIMTECH, Greater Noida celebrated its 30th Foundation Day on 2nd October, 2017 and continuing with its Foundation Day Celebrations, it has organized SABRANG Utsav-a plethora of cultural and literary events where in a host of renowned artists of the country were seen performing traditional and modern dance, music, recitals, fun and entertainment activities spread across eight days.

On the final day of the celebrations, the Utsav witnessed a grand Kavi Sammelan (or poetry recital). Hindi and Urdu poets of national fame graced the event which was organised by Bizmark, the marketing club of BIMTECH. It brought together veteran performers like Manveer Madhur, Ram Sarin & Varsha Gorachia while upcoming poets like Vipul Kumar and Puneet Kusum added flavours to the stage. The main attraction of the evening was Rahat Indori, who has achieved international fame through his Urdu poetry.

The show was anchored by Jainendra Singh from All India Radio. Chief guests for the event were Meerut Commissioner Dr. Prabhat Kumar and Sanjay Abhigyan, Chief Editor of Amar Ujala.

Poets of different genres recited different forms of poetry including patriotic, comic, inspirational however the evening was dominated with poetry of love and harmony.

Dr. Rahat Indori was welcomed by the large number of students and guests with a big round of applause and his energetic performance disappointed no one. He was at his poetic best and clubbed his performance with various anecdotes and life lessons.

BIMTECH Director Dr. HC Chaturvedi thanked all students, faculties and guests for successful organization of this grand festival.
