BJP appoints new chiefs across states

New Delhi, 04th July 2023: The Bharatiya Janata Party today announced that in its efforts to prepare for the upcoming 2024 elections, they had changed the leadership and appointed new chiefs in multiple states nationwide.

Union Minister G Kishan Reddy would now lead the party in the state of Telangana. At the same time, BJP MLA Etela Rajender, who served as the first finance minister of Telangana, has been appointed chairman of the BJP’s state election management committee for the upcoming Telangana assembly polls.

D Purandeswari, who is the daughter of former Andhra CM NT Rama Rao, has been appointed Andhra Pradesh BJP President. Moreover, former Congress leader Sunil Kumar will lead the party in Punjab. Babulal Marandi, Jharkhand’s first Chief Minister and current Leader of the Opposition in the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly has been appointed as the president of the BJP in Jharkhand.

Kiran Kumar Reddy, the last Chief Minister of United Andhra Pradesh before the establishment of Telangana, has been named to the party’s national executive committee.

The party also added that it has called for a meeting of all the state presidents and the state general secretaries on July 7, which BJP President JP Nadda and National Secretary BL Santosh would head.
