Bengaluru, 13th May 2023: Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai officially conceded defeat in the Karnataka Assembly Elections. This comes as Congress leads moved past 130 seats, while BJP scored just over 60 seats in the state.
In a media address, CM Bommai emphasised the efforts taken by the party workers and PM Narendra Modi, while admitting that the party failed to make its mark. He added that the party will accept the results ‘in our stride to return in Lok Sabha elections.’
Final counting is still going on, with Congress taking a huge lead.
