New Delhi: As the election dates are approaching in Karnataka, Congress and BJP have started mounting attacks on each other.

Complaining about violation of election code of conduct, Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Friday afternoon met with Election Commission of India officials and registered his disappointment over the prevailing situation in the poll-bound Karnataka.

After visiting ECI office, Naqvi addressed media. He said, “The situation in Karnataka is not well. Congress is not only violating election code of conduct but also misusing government officials, Bangalore Commissioner is misusing police force to refrain BJP from campaign.”

“Bangalore commissioner is leaving no stone unturned to refrain BJP from campaign and acting like a tyrant. So, I met with ECI officials and urged to suspend him immediately, so, the people of Karnataka fearless vote,” he added.

Replying to the question of his comment of Congress’s manifesto, he said, “I haven’t gone though it yet. So, I could not comment on it.”
