BJP ruled MCDs to give major relief to small plot owners upto 100 sq mtrs
In a major relief to the small plot owners in the Capital, the BJP ruled Municipal Corporations will soon waive off the requirement of getting building construction plans cleared for construction at plots upto 100 sq. m.
“The decision was taken after the meeting of all the municipal councillors of BJP and those who contested on party ticket in all three corporations,” informed Delhi BJP President Sh. Vijay Goel in a statement issued today. “The owners of the plot upto 100 sq m. will just have to give an affidavit to the corporation that they would follow all the muncipal rules and they can do the construction without any hindrance. This will help lakhs of small plot owners in the Capital,” said Sh. Goel.
The meeting also decided that all three corporations will take up the issue of municipal councillors not allowed to spend the money from the councillor fund in unauthorised colonies where more than 40 lakh people live. Several councillors criticised the Delhi government for blocking this move by the Delhi government.
“If Delhi government does not allow this then our councillors will stage a Dharna. We will also go to the LG to get this permission,” said Sh. Goel.
The party has asked its councillors to work on ensuring best possible sanitation in their respective wards.
The Delhi BJP is planning to set up a helpline in Delhi BJP office to monitor sanitation related issues to help residents in areas.
Sh. Goel said, “A committee under the chairmanship of Sh. Nand Kishore Garg will review the case of reuniting the three municipal corporations. The trifurcation done by Congress has created more problems than it solved so many in our party are in favour of reversing the trifurcation and having only one MCD.”
The meeting also decided that all the BJP councillors will go door to door in their wards as a part of ‘Ek Note-Kamal Par Vote’. They would seek votes and funds from households for Lok Sabha campaign. They would also help in voter registration. They will share party’s vision and agenda also, said Sh. Goel.
