New Delhi:(24/12/18) Responding to the concerns over the predicament of Brahmin’s across the world especially the Kashmiri Brahmins, who are living in exile for the past 3 decades, over 1000 members of Brahmin Organization of India (BOI) united together in New Delhi.

This is the first of its kind gathering where the BOI’s highest decision making body and national executives from different parts of India joined. The event captured the milestone lectures on Brahmin from an Indian Perspective to raise public awareness and their involvement.

Senior leaders of the Brahmin community across India delivered the inaugural address in the presence of the top leaders of the community. To increase awareness within and outside this community, various atrocities against the Brahmins since independence along with evidence and supporting data were reiterated.

Speaking to Ten News, Pandit Sukhbir Sharma, Chief Patron, Brahmin Organisation of India said,

“This is the first major congregation of various Brahmin organizations throughout India under the aegis of the parent body ‘Brahmin Organization of India’. Contemporary History of Kashmir reveals this as the third major exodus of Kashmiri Brahmins from their motherland who have contributed much to nation building in India.”

He further said, “Inadequate and dis coordinated Indian Intelligence, Inattention by successive Governments of India, unhindered proliferation of separatist and pseudo separatist mainstream political machinations, lack of a robust comprehensive and dynamic Kashmir policy are some factors which resulted in these tumultuous 3 decades.”

Pandit Ramesh Kitchloo, Patron, BOI, said, “We hereby appeal to all the Political parties to unbiasedly receive and analyze our thoughts for a peaceful living for all. It is our human duty to disseminate knowledge about this glaring reverse discrimination against our beleaguered community. Everyone in this country enjoys unholy reservations except a few of us now.”
