: Author of Delhi 4 Shows, noted film and literary critic, Ziya Us Salam, radio veteran and theatre personality, Danish Iqbal, and Chief Editor, Om Books International, Dipa Chaudhuri, held a panel discussion on Single Screen: Are they Delhi’s heritage? at the India Habitat Centre, Lodhi Road, New Delhi, on Thursday, 14 May 2015.

Ziya Us Salam, Author:

Ziya Us Salam is a senior Deputy Editor with the Hindu. A noted film and literary critic, he has contributed to the following anthologies: Being Young in the Worlds of Islam and Past Tense: Living on the Edge. He has also edited an anthology titled, Housefull: The Golden Age of Hindi Cinema, published by Om Books International. His book, Strands of Commonality: Postcard of Islam In the subcontinent, is to be published shortly. He was a jury member of the International Film Festival of India (Non-feature film, 2011), Best writing on Cinema (2008) and Vatavaran.

Danish Iqbal, Theatre Personality and Radio veteran.

Is a Seasoned playwright and radio anchor, Danish Iqbal is an inventive mind rolling on many things creative.

Dipa Chaudhuri, Editor-in-Chief, Om Books International:

With an M.Phil. in French Literature from Université Paris Diderot-Paris 7, Dipa Chaudhuri has over a decade and a half’s experience in publishing. Having started out as a freelancer with Oxford University Press and Penguin Books India in 1998, she was in charge of the International Co-editions list at Roli Books. Presently, she is Chief Editor, Om Books International, and looks after the fiction and non-fiction publishing lists.

Amongst the authors she has worked with are Khushwant Singh, Mushirul Hasan, Nasreen Munni Kabir, Rauf Ahmed, Anupama Chopra, Darius Cooper, Khalid Mohamed, Anna M.M. Vetticad, Kris Gethin, Arfeen Khan, Vikas Khanna, Sushmita Bose, Amita Baig, Rahul Mehrotra, Raj Rewal, and Pooja Talwar.

The highly interesting debate was also attended by the publisher of Om Books International Mr. Ajay Mago.
