Husband Burns His Wife On A Crowed Junction In #Delhi:

A 25 year old wife was set a on fire in front of crowded traffic circle junction in Jyoti Nagar on Thursday afternoon of northeast Delhi. According to police officials report, the couple was married before 6 years and their marriage life had went into trouble and they had been living separately for the past few months.

According to the sources the man identified as Mohammad Raees, came with a bottle of kerosene, and called his wife Rubina and asked her to meet him and set a meeting point at the Loni circle junction to apparently resolve their domestic problems. However, he then poured kerosene on her and burned her by lighting a match to her body on Thursday afternoon.

When Raees called Rubina to Loni, she was initially not interested, but then agree. When she went to meet him, an argument started and ended with Raees setting her on fire.

Raees then ran away from the spot as his wife kept screaming. Locals then put out the fire and rushed her to hospital. Joint commissioner of police (eastern range) Sanjay Beniwal said.“The woman was admitted to Guru Tegh Bahadur hospital, where she was treated for 70-75 per cent burn injuries. The burn injuries are severe and her condition is said to be critical with little chance of survival,”

He added “We have registered a case of attempt-to-murder. The accused is absconding and police teams are trying to trace him. Eyewitnesses are also being questioned,”

According to police officials report, Raees and Rubina were married before six years. They have two children aged 5 and 3. The husband and wife used to fight over domestic and marital issues and had started living separately. Rubina was living with her mother in Seemapuri while the children were living with Raees in his house in Indrapuri, Ghaziabad.
