Punjab, 24th June 2023: On Friday, the Border Security Force (BSF) shot down a Pakistani drone in Punjab’s Tarn Taran district.
“In Village Lakhana, Dist Tarn Taran, BSF troops intercepted and brought down a Pakistani drone (DJI Matrice 300 RTK) that had violated Indian airspace.” “BSF Punjab Frontier has once again foiled Pakistan’s nefarious designs,” the BSF Punjab Frontier tweeted.
More research is being conducted, they added.
Earlier that day, on June 22, the BSF in Punajb’s Fazilka recovered a drone from Pakistan as well as two packets of suspected narcotics near the Abohar border.
“On specific information, alert BSF troops recovered a Pakistani drone (DJI Matrice 300 RTK) along with 2 kg (approx) suspected heroin near the international border in Jodhawala village of Fazilka district on June 22, during morning hours,” the BSF Punjab Frontier said.
It went on to say that the alert BSF personnel had once again foiled unscrupulous attempts to carry goods via drone.
