India, (5/12/2018): In Siyana, Bulandshahr, where the mob got violent on Monday, owing to a cattle carcass found nearby the village. The main accused Yogesh Raj, a Bajrang dal co-ordinator of the town is on the run and has released a video claiming his innocence.
In the video released from unidentified location, the main accused has said that he was at a police station for registering the case when the incident of firing took place.
Meanwhile, police has arrested 4 people namely Satish, Chaman, Ashish and Devendra from the district.
On Monday, mob attacked Inspector Subodh Kumar Singh and killed him. He was shot in the head. Another individual named Sumit was also killed in this violence.
According to the postmortem reports both Sumit and Subodh Kumar were killed by a .32 bore bullet.
Family members of the inspector have levied acquisition of murder and has asked for CBI inquiry in the matter.
At state capital Lucknow, UP CM, Yogi Adityanath held a meeting to review law and order situation and said “the violence in Bulandshahar seems like a Pre-planned attack. The DM and SP will be held responsible if any illegal slaughter house is caught to be operational in any district”.
The situation however remains indifferent in the district. Many youths of the village are underground and ladies have gone to their relatives to evade the inquiry.
ADG, Anand Kumar has said that six police teams are checking the videos to identify the accused. Four people have been arrested and case has been registered against 27 other named accused. Other than this, some 50-60 unidentified people have also been booked in these violence.
SIT has been formed for the inquiry of the matter.
