Cartist filling Colors of creativity at the Auto Expo 2018

Jaipur’s art organization is all set to exhibit it’s automobile art collection at Auto Expo 2018 starting from the 9th of February at Delhi. The dates of the Expo are from 9-14th February and  Cartist is culminating it’s art and travel event known as the Cartist Yatra at the Expo. Cartist is exhibiting its variety of automobile artworks at the Auto Expo for the first time and it is happening for the first time in the history of Auto Expo that an organisation is allocated a huge space of 12,000 Sq Ft. Cartist is exhibiting at Hall No. 12 and the artworks that are lined up for display at the Expo are  Mélange of art, automobile, culture, and style.

The automobiles in the form of artworks, lined up for display includes vintage cars with a hint of art through terracotta, weaving, and painting of epic Bollywood posters; two 20 feet and one 40 feet painted shipping containers, vibrantly painted autos and Nanos, scooter embellished with gems and stones and colored scooter, Ambassador walking on human feet, toy cars, a giant head dreaming of cars,  and some other artworks purely relating to the automobiles. Along with this, there will be artworks on display inclusive of paintings and sculptures created by aspiring as well as prominent artists. Cartist has also tried to emphasize the concept of 3R’s by creating furniture out of the dire automobile parts including that of a Nissan Engine and this furniture will be launched at the Expo.

Apart from the display of artworks, Cartist is organising art activities as well. These activities include “Mai bhi Cartist” for the visitors and “Live Painting Session” for the aspiring artists. Through “Mai bhi Cartist” Cartist is willing to engage and acquaint the public with this new version of art and bring them closer to the mesmerising blend of art and automobile whereas “Live Painting Session” is organised to provide a platform to the young and budding artists of the country. About a hundred artists will create artworks on the automobile theme during the Auto Expo.

Automobile art, being a nascent and unique concept, was initiated by Himanshu Jangid three years ago. Himanshu is a vintage car restorer from Jaipur and is now dedicated to taking this concept of Automobile Art to the whole of the nation through a nation-wide art and travel event known as Cartist Yatra. Cartist Yatra has already completed its journey and covered almost the whole of India in a span of two months. Now, as the Yatra is culminating at the Auto Expo, Cartist is displaying the best of its automobile art collection from the whole journey at Expo. Himanshu is promoting the concept in full swing through his artistic endeavors to ensure that the people come closer to the world of art and automobile.
