CBSE Board 2020: Sample question papers for class 10 and 12 released

New Delhi: Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE has recently released the sample question papers for board examination of class 10 and class 12. Sample question papers of all subjects for CBSE Board Exam 2020 are released to help students anticipate the structure of questions papers they will get in board exams.

Earlier, the sample papers used to be released in October by CBSE, but by issuing the sample papers one month in advance, the board have helped the students to get familiar with the pattern to practice accordingly for the exams.

Students appearing in the examination can download the sample question papers from its official website,

By analysing the CBSE sample papers, the students will be able to understand the format and the type of questions asked in the board examination that will facilitate them to formulate an effective plan for their board exam preparations.

This year, CBSE question papers is likely to have more number of objective type questions with each carrying one mark. These objective type questions will include multiple choice type questions, match the columns, fill in the blanks, one word answer type questions, assertion-reason type questions or some picture based questions. Hopefully, this will reduce the pressure of writing long subjective type answers which consume the maximum time of the students.

The CBSE board examination 2020 of class 10th and 12th will be conducted in the month of Feb-March. The students are advised to visit the official website and download the sample question papers for practice. CBSE has also released the marking scheme for every subject.

1.Visit the official website


2.Click on the link, ‘Notification: SQP for Class X and XII (2019-20),’ appearing under Announcements on the homepage.


3.A PDF notification will appear on the display screen


4.Click on the links provided for class X and XII


5.A new page will appear on the display screen



6.Click on the particular subjects to get the sample question papers


7.Download the sample question paper and take its print out for any future use.
