National-International Schools to compete in CBSE Football National Tournament at Aster Public School Greater Noida

20th CBSE National Football competition for boys for both categories i.e under 17 and under 19 is going to be organized at Aster Public School, Greater Noida between 3rd November and 10th November.

In this prestigious tournament approximately 50 teams will participate and around 150 matches will be played. A gala opening ceremony is planned to commence the tournament on 3rd November.

CBSE Chairman Anita Karwal will hand over the medal and certificates to winning team and distribute prizes to the runners-up after 10th November finale.

Host School Expresses Delight:

Siddharth Sharma Director of Aster Institutions said, “It is a privilege for Aster Public School, Greater Noida to host the prestigious competition. The schools staff, students and management are all working hard to make it a memorable event. The school is eagerly looking forward to hosting over thousand CBSE students from all around the world”.

School Principal Sunil Saxena added, “The school had previously also hosted the CBSE Girls competition which was a grand success. We understand the importance of all round development in the kids and always encourage them to take part in co-curricular activities”.

In run-up to this competition CBSE had divided the whole country in to 20 clusters and winners of each cluster in both the categories will be taking part in this tournament. Apart from teams from all 7 zones of India, Under 17 and Under 19 football teams will also come from foreign countries including Bahrain, Kuwait, Sultanate of Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia among others.

UP Football Association to provide referees:

The Uttar Pradesh Football association has taken the responsibility to conduct the matches of the tournament in a befitting manner and has appointed 24 referees under whose guidance and supervision the matches will be played.
