New Delhi(10/01/2020): Based on a real life incident of acid attack survivor Laxmi Aggarwal’s story, the film starring Deepika Padukone as the protagonist leaves an impact though it lacks the shock value that one would expect from watching a film about such a heinous crime.
Director Meghna Gulzar, who earlier helmed Talvar and Raazi, is once again back with her story with maturity and doesn’t get carried away.
She understands the nuances of the subject and instead of evoking sympathy, she depicted out a stronger message of standing tall and celebrating life even after you’ve faced adversity at its worst.
Speaking to Ten News, the delhiites who watched the first show on the release date of ‘Chhapaak’, shared praising words for the movie and that the movie is a must watch production.
“I really loved what Deepika did in the movie, and I really liked the message that the movie shared with the scenes it holds. Being an acid attack survivor, Malti (Laxmi), changed the mentality of whole world. I would like to suggest to every single person, that the movie is a must watch content”, commented a girl who looked satisfied while leaving the cinema hall.
