Chhath Festival held at Noida : Police lathi charged on huge crowd

NOIDA : Chhath Festival was organized by the Overseas Federation at Noida Stadium. Chief guest of the program was Meghalaya Governor Ganga Prasad Chaurasia and Union Minister Dr. Mahesh Sharma, Noida MLA Pankaj Singh and other dignitaries were also present.

The program gathering was more than the last time. The crowd was above expectations This year and was uncontrollable. Noida policeman became agitated when the crowd started breaking through the iron divider. To calm the crowd, the police had to compel the staff to do lathi charge on them.
