CHHATH POOJAN IS A FESTIVAL TO RESPECT NATURE – Satish Upadhyay
New Delhi, 6th November. Delhi BJP President Shri Satish Upadhyay, MPs Shri Manoj Tiwari, Shri Ramesh Bidhuri, Smt. Meenakshi Lekhi, Shri Maheish Girri, Shri Pravesh Verma, Dr. Udit Raj, LOP Shri Vijender Gupta joined Chhath Poojan functions held all over Delhi. Mayors Dr. Sanjeev Nayyar, Shri Shyam Sharma & Smt. Satya Sharma along with Municipal Councillors & BJP Purvanchal Morcha workers including Shri Abhay Verma, Shri Dinesh Pratap Singh ensured civic amenities for the devotees.
Speaking at a Puja organised at Paltoon Pul by Bihar Jagran Manch Shri Satish Upadhyay said that Chhath Poojan is a festival when devotees pay respect to nature too. The worship of Surya Bhagwan standing in river water by the devotees is a respect of the nature. Even the Vedas refer to Surya Poojan indicating that a festival like Chhath existed even in the Adikaal. He congratulated the devotees on the occasion of Chhath.
