New Delhi (26/08/2019) : Central Bureau of Investigation sought five more days from the Supreme Court to keep former Finance Minister P Chidambaram in custody for interrogation.

The CBI told the court that Chidambaram had been behaving "non-cooperative" since he was arrested on Wednesday.

SC also refused to take up Chidambaram’s petition for protection from arrest by the CBI – filed on Wednesday which was according to CBI, "infructuous".

The hearing on Chidambaram’s plea for protection from arrest by the Enforcement Directorate will start again tomorrow as it was inconclusive today.
