Cinestars beat Parliamentarians 10-0 in Football Ka Mahamuqabla
New Delhi, July 25 (IANS) A football match between Parliamentarians and Cinestars ended with the latter winning 10-0 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium here.
Sunday’s exhibition match was named Football For Nation (Football Ka Mahamuqabla) and was organised by the Adhunik Art Gallery and Pranira International for supporting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s pet schemes — Swachh Bharat and Beti Bachao Beti Padao.
Bollywood actress Priyanka Kothari, goodwill ambassador of the match, brand ambassador yoga guru Baba Ramdev, Sports Minister Vijay Goel and New Delhi constituency MP Meenakshi Lekhi were also present.
For the Cinestars, Ranbir Kapoor (5), Dino Morea (2), Sachin Joshi (1), Karan Wahi (1) and Shabir Ahluwalia (1) got on the scoresheet. The highlight of the match was Ranbir’s amazing efforts on the ground.
Manoj Tiwari, Babul Supriyo, Parwez Sahib Singh and Sanjeev Balyan also gave their best for the Parliamentarians team.
