New Delhi : Complaint has been filed in the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) regarding the alleged manhandling of Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra by Uttar Pradesh police in Lucknow on Saturday.

Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Saturday alleged that she was strangulated by a UP policewoman while on her way to meet the family of former IPS officer SR Darapuri and was also pushed due to which she fell down.

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra also alleged that the Yogi Adityanath government supported the actions of the Uttar Pradesh Police against her when she was stopped from meeting ex-IPS officer SR Darapuri’s family members and also manhandled by the cops in Lucknow on Saturday.

In between all this, a video is getting viral in which a women police officer can be seen trying to stop Priyanka. But nothing can be seen like grabbing her by throat as claimed by priyanka herself. In the video, supporters of Priyanka can also be seen indulging in verbal argument with the police officials.

After the video of Priyanka went viral, the women police officer who is getting accused of manhandling Priyanka, came in front of camera and defended her action. She said “I was assigned as Priyanka’s security in-charge so i just tried to access the information where she is trying to go. So that security arrangements can be done for her. No manhandling has been done, we were just doing our duty.”
