DDA website reveals the truth; BJP not going to regularise unauthorised colonies : Manish Sisodia

New Delhi : The Delhi Development Authority’s Unauthorised colonies Cell portal was launched by the BJP government on 16th December purportedly to register residents of unauthorised colonies to apply for ownership rights. Soon after the BJP has put up hoardings across the city claiming that the 1731 unauthorised colonies are now authorised.

The BJP’s lies on this matter has been exposed by the DDA’s own website. The Frequently Asked Questions section uploaded on the DDA website clearly states that the PM UDAY registration “is neither regularisation of unauthorized colonies, nor the structures therein”.

Addressing a press conference on this issue, Deputy chief minister and senior AAP leader Manish Sisodia said, “The BJP misled the people by placing hoarding-banners that claim 1731 colonies have been regularised, whereas the truth is that no such thing has been done as admitted on the DDA’s own website. This is a fraud on the 40 lakh people living in Delhi’s unauthorized colonies. BJP must apologise to the people for this huge betrayal.”

DY CM Sisodia logged on the DDA web portal during the press conference and opened the FAQs section. The second point on the list of FAQs clarified that there was no regularization of unauthorised colonies.

Dy CM Sisodia thanked Union Minister Hardeep Puri for telling the truth. Thanking Union Minister Hardeep Puri, DY CM Sisodia said, “I am thankful to Hardeep Puri ji for exposing the BJP’s lies to the people of Delhi before the elections. At least Hardeep Puri ji has the courage to openly say on their DDA website that the BJP’s hoardings are full of lies.”
