Concluding Ceremony of the Personality Grooming Programme Conducted at DPS World School, Greater Noida

Children of DPS World School, Greater Noida learnt the much needed skills like public speaking, anchoring, book reading and reviewing during the personality grooming programme that was conducted in the school from 16 th May to 28 th May , 2016. During this programme children had the sessions of skating, martial art, poem recitation and art and craft also. The concluding ceremony of this programme was conducted on 28 th may, 2016. The students of the school presented before the parents all that they had learnt in this twelve days long programme. The concluding ceremony commenced with the vision song. Through this song the students learnt about the significance of high goal in their life. In the next presentation ten children spoke about the content and significance of five books. These five books were: Indomitable Spirit, The Greatness Guide 2, Light from Many Lamps, Joy of Work and Ignited Minds. Nuggets of learning contained in these five books were beautifully presented by the students. All the parents witnessing the performance of the children felt greatly delighted and excited to see the tiny tots singing and dancing while giving their presentation based on poems. All of them were looking extremely confident and cheerful. Ability to stay balanced and focussed was beautifully presented during the skating show. Children of classes Nursery to II enthralled one and all during this skating show. Self defence techniques were shown with a great deal of aggression and enthusiasm by the students during Martial Art show. Parents were spellbound to see martial art show put up so enthusiastically by all thechildren of the school. One segment of this show was based on the way girls are to react when someone tries to assault them. A panel discussion based on the theme “Leadership Wisdom” was the highlight of the concluding ceremony.An enactment entitled “Students- The Future of the Nation” was presented by the students and this enactment released the strong wave of patriotic zeal among the children.The ceremony concluded with a mission song which was the translation of the iconic poem of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore “Where the mind is without fear”. Parents felt greatly enraptured by this powerfully and passionately sung song. This concluding ceremony lasted for two hours. A strong wave of inspiration could be clearly felt in the ambience of the school.
