Congess presidential candidate Mera Kumari files nomination papers

Congress presidential candidate Meera Kumari today filed her Nomination papers for the presidential elections 2017.
Meera Kumari, former speaker Lok Sabha, said, “Its very unfortunate that the highest position in the country is being used to politicised in the name of caste.”
“I will be fighting to uphold the ideology that will keep India unified and secular,” she said.
Before arriving at the parliament to file her nomination, Meera Kumari paid a visit to Raj Ghat to pay tributes to Mahatma Gandhi and Samta Sthal, cremation ground for Dalits
