Coronavirus: Big announcement by UP CM Yogi Adityanath, Rs 1000 will be given to laborers

The number of coronavirus patients continues to grow. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath told the press conference on Saturday that so far 23 people have been found infected with the virus, amongst which nine people have been cured.

He said, “An amount of Rs 1000 will be given to 15 lakh daily wage laborers and 20.37 lakh construction workers to help them meet their daily needs.”

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said, ‘We have set up isolation wards in the state. There is a need to fight challenges, not to panic with this virus. He said that it has been decided to provide immediate ration to laborers, handlers, etc.

Yogi Adityanath said that the government will provide 20 kg of wheat and 15 kg of rice to the BPL families of the state for free. These will be given to people from PDS centers. He assured the people that there is no shortage of anything in the state. People should not collect food and drink items. There is no shortage of anything.

The number of people infected with this virus in India rose to 258 on Saturday after 35 new cases of Coronavirus infection were reported in different parts of the country. Of these 258 people, 39 are foreign nationals. Among these foreign nationals, 17 are from Italy, three from Philippine, two from UK and one each from Canada, Indonesia and Singapore. This figure also includes the total number of deaths of four people recorded in Delhi, Karnataka, Punjab and Maharashtra.
