While the country is battling Covid-19 pandemic, civil society is also joining hands with the administration to rise up to the occasion.

Noida’s eminent citizen, Rajiva Singh, President, NOFAA, has also written an open letter to Narendra Bhushan, IAS
CEO and Nodal Officer (Covid-19),
GBN outlining the challenges for high-rise societies and citizens of the district in current pandemic.

Here is the text of his open letter:

Respected Shri Narendra Bhushan ji,

We are aware it is a challanging time for all of us . We all are stressed as much as our health care systems , administration and our residents. What could be of great help, in such trying times :

1. Real time information on availability of hospital beds for general public , would be of great help. And in case we are falling short of such facilities , let us add more infrastructure accordingly. eg.engage hotels , guest houses , etc as extended arms of existing hospitals .

2. Shortage of drugs , Ramdesivir and other medicines ,needs to be addressed on urgent basis . Could help in better treatment and possibly reduce mortality rate if administered timely.

3. Covid testing camps in societies needs to be scaled up. And the turn around time for these test results needs to be reduced.

4. a.Vaccination of eligible residents in society premises needs to be considered.
b. RWA / AOA members need to be considered as front line workers and vaccinated on priority. They have high vulnerabllity to the virus while performing selfless services for the residents in respective societies.

5 . Written orders from your office / DM office , specifying the measures to be taken in highrise societies is important. Self discipline at times does not work on its own in societies. More stringent guidelines / measures may be needed in several cases, in order to contain the virus . Also empowerment for RWAs/ AOAs needed for implementation of such guidelines.

Request to kindly consider these urgent measures on high priority please

Many thanks in advance

Warm regards,
