CSR Activity- A Literacy Program in ITS Engineering College

Utthan , the CSR cell of I.T.S Engineering College, took an innovative step on 4th May 2014, for enhancing the education awareness and literacy programme among the underprivileged people and their children .

There are many construction workers and their children who are residing in different locations of Greater Noida. Hence the aim is to make them literate so that their exploitation level can be minimized or reduced. Along with seventeen students from different branches of engineering, and two faculties Mrs. Seema Srivastava and Mrs. Malika Gandhi took the initiative to accelerate the programme of literacy mission among such downtrodden section.

With the help of volunteer students and faculty members, tried to teach them Hindi as well as English alphabets, counting numbers and some Hindi rhymes. All were really surprised by their interest of learning and grasping power. They responded very well to our expectation. It’s just the beginning of the great mission. Hope to continue this for realizing the great goal for our society.
