Dainik Jagran Hindi Bestseller list for first Quarter announced in National Capital!

New Delhi: The Dainik Jagran Hindi bestsellers list for first quarter of the Year was released on Saturday at Dainik Jagran Hindi BestSeller Announcement Programme in National Capital. The list included popular Hindi writers who got selected as a winner in different categories.

Dainik Jagran Hindi Bestseller is the first initiative of its kind, bringing in the Best Seller list in Hindi. Earlier there was no transparent and credible means to accurately asses the popularity of Hindi books. Dainik Jagran Nielsen Bookscan Bestseller list will be released every quarter of the year. This initiative is part of Dainik Jagran’s campaign ‘Hindi hain hum’.

The Programme started with lighting the ceremonial lamp and a Panel Discussion on ‘Mahakavi Gopaldas Neeraj’ By Leeladhar Mandloi and Yatindra Mishra. Gopaldas Saxena Neeraj popularly known as Nirajor Neeraj was an Indian poet and author of Hindi literature. He was also a famous poet of Hindi Kavi sammelan.He was awarded Padma Shri in 1991 and Padma Bhushan in 2007

The Chief Guest of the Programme was Padma Vibhushan awardee, who has dedicated her life to the world of Indian classical arts for 58 years and MP, Rajya Sabha, Dr. Sonal Mansingh.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sonal Mansingh said, “Most of the North Indian languages resonate Hindi. But there is so much work to do in south. Hindi is still not our national language. We have 28-29 languages in India and hindi is one of them. So this tell us we have to lot of work in this department.”
