Dastangoi by Ankit Chadha marks 7th Day of BIMTECH 30th Foundation day celebration

BIMTECH celebrated its 30th Foundation Day on 2ndoctober, 2017. Continuing with the celebration of Foundation Day, it has organized Sabrang Utsav. The 7th day of Sabrang Utsav witnessed an event of storytelling, DastangGoi- the Art of Urdu Story Telling, organized by Editorial conduit of BIMTECH.
The event was interspersed by Dastangoi Artist Ankit Chadha wherein he recreated the life and work of Amir Khusrau, the iconic figure in the cultural History of India. Amir Khusrau also developed the Oral Art of Storytelling, Dastangoi.
Ankit Chadha is a new generation Story Teller, researcher, as well as an Author. He is author of books “Amir Khusrau”- The man in riddles and “My Gandhi Story”. He has also spoken on Dastans at Harvard, Princeton and Yale University as well.
The way Ankit Chadha connected his stories about Amir Khusrau with the music, left everyone in the awe of the cultural icon. It was a mesmerizing evening and the performance was highly applauded by everyone.
In addition to this the Chief Guest of today’s event was Mr. S.Y. Siddiqui, chief mentor of Maruti Suzuki India Limited. He hold the degree of BA( Hons) in social work and Post-Graduation in HRM from Jamia Millia University and has a career track of around 29 years . Guest of Honor was Mr. Ankush Thakur, Bimtech Alumnus of 20008-20110 Batch.
