Day after communal clashes in Delhi, Hindu-Muslim bonhomie in Noida overwhelms netizens

Noida, 18th April, 2022: A day after communal clashes in New Delhi shocked the country, opposite of it happened in Noida, making netizens laud the beautiful gesture and religious bonhomie on display.
During a similar religious procession where stone pelting was reported in the capital,
Muslims were witnessed offering water, soft drinks and juice to hundreds of Hindus who were participating in a religious parade in Noida, Uttar Pradesh.
“Members of the Muslim community met the Shobha Yatra in Sector 9’s Bamboo market, offering juice, cool drinks, and water to the Hindus,” said Rahul Dubey, Media in-charge, Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Noida.
Even while the police force was on high alert due to the violence in Jahangirpuri, New Delhi, the ‘Shobha Yatra’ was organised soon after Hanuman Jayanti. The Yatra started from Sector- 45, travelling through Sector 37, 18, 5, 8, 9, 12-22, the procession stopped at Hanuman Mandir sector-34, informed Rahul Dubey.
With roughly 200 police personnel and senior security officials on duty, several people wrapped in saffron travelled around the city roads, with roughly 300 police officers on security duty and top authorities on the ground to continuously monitor the situation. While women showered flower petals on the men who were leading the procession.
Several videos of members from the muslim community distributing water, juice, and soft beverages to the Hindu procession have created a buzz on social media and is seen setting an example of ‘communal harmony’.

There were also videos of Muslims showering flowers on Hindus in the Hanuman Jayanti Procession in Madhya Pradesh.

Such instances have worked well for reinforcing the idea of India where coexistence of different religions is the norm, and not an exception.
