Deepika Padukone walks barefoot to seek blessings from Laalbagcha Raja

Actor Deepika Padukone visited the popular Laalbagcha Raja Ganesh pandal today to seek blessings from the Lord Ganesha. She walked barefoot to pay her respects to the elephant deity and offered her prayers with folded hands. The actor looked gorgeous in heavily embellished golden saree paired with huge earrings. She had tied her hair in a bun to enhance her look.

Deepika arrived at the pandal with heavy security and was safely escorted inside as a sea of devotees gathered around her to get a glimpse of their favourite actor. Earlier, Amitabh Bachchan alongwith son Abhishek also visited Lalbaugchya Raja to worship Lord Ganesha.



The 20-feet Ganesh idol is crafted in a traditional manner and has been placed in the beautiful pandal. This year the theme is based on ISRO’s recent Chandrayaan-2 spacecraft. Every year thousands of devotees throng the pandal during the Ganesha Mahotsav to seek blessings and show their love to their beloved Bappa.

Deepika, has recently came back from London, along with her husband and actor Ranveer Singh, after completing the shoot for Kabir Khan’s 83. The film is based on Indian team victory at the cricket World Cup in 1983. Actor Ranveer is playing the role of veteran cricketer Kapil Dev in the film, while Deepika will be seen as his wife Romi Dev. The film cast also includes Pankaj Tripathi, Boman Irani, Saqib Saleem, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Jiiva, Harrdy Sandhu and Ammy Virk in pivotal roles. The film is set to hit theatres on April 10 next year.

Meanwhile, Deepika is awaiting the release of her film Chhapaak, in which she will be seen as an acid attack survivor. Directed by Meghna Gulzar, the film will release on January 10, 2020. The film also stars Vikrant Massey. It is also Deepika’s debut production.
