Delhi BJP Councilors-Workers to sit on Dharna tomorrow
AAM AADMI PARTY CAME TO POWER IN THE NAME OF SWARAJ IS SPOILING THE DREAMS OF MAHATMA GANDHI BY WEAKENING THE MUNICIPAL CORPORATIONS WHICH ARE SYMBOLS OF SWARAJ
New Delhi, 18th January. Delhi BJP has decided to take the fight of the three Municipal Corporation’s rightful claim to funds as per the 4th Delhi Finance Commission recommendations directly to the people. Shri Ramesh Bidhuri, Shri Ashish Sood and Smt. Rekha Gupta addressed a Press Conference in this connection today.
MP Shri Ramesh Bidhuri said that the dream of Mahatma Gandhi Swaraj was meant to strengthen the smallest unit of administration, the Municipal Corporations and village panchayats. Even during the election campaign of Aam Aadmi Party, the most prominent issue was Swaraj but after coming to power the Kejriwal Government has tried to weaken the lowest unit of administration which is directly connected with the people and hence the Municipal Corporations are being weakened financially.
Pradesh General Secretary Shri Ashish Sood said that on Tuesday 19th January at Jantar Mantar BJP workers led by the Delhi BJP President Sh. Satish Upadhyay will join the Municipal Councillors Dharna. Delhi BJP Incharge Sh. Shyam Jaju alongwith Members of Parliament from Delhi and BJP Office bearers are expected to join. They said that on the one hand Delhi Government is not releasing fund as recommended by the 4th Finance Commission and on the other it has not fully released the dues from the as recommended by the 3rd Finance Commission. All the Municipal Corporations have undertaken municipal reforms but Delhi Government is not releasing funds which should have been paid on its basis.
Smt. Rekha Gupta told that All 3 Municipal Corporations Mayors Sh. Subash Arya, Sh. Harsh Malhotra, Sh. Ravinder Gupta, Deputy Mayors Shri Kuldeep Sing Solanki, Smt. Asha Singh, Smt. Neelam Goyal, Standing Committee Chairpersons Sh. Radhe Shyam Sharma, Sh. Mohan Bhardwaj, Smt. Lata Gupta, Leader of the House Sh. Ashish Sood, Sh. Ram Narain Dubey, Sh. Yogendra Chandolia, Deputy Chairpersons of Standing Committee Smt. Dipti Joshi. Sh. Praveen Rajput and Sh. Virendra Babbar will undertake a symbolic Hunger Strike on Tuesday.
Delhi General Secretaries have strongly condemns the Kejriwal Govt. for trying to mislead people of Delhi regarding municipal funds. BJP will thoroughly expose the Delhi government in the matter and ensure that Municipal Bodies get proper funds so that they can provide best civic services to the people of Delhi.
