Delhi International Jazz Festival comes back with 8th Edition!

New Delhi : 8th Delhi International Jazz Festival 2019, presented by Indian Council for Cultural Relations is all set to return with impressive bands and a line-up of renowned artistes from across the world.

The festival, popularly known for its grandeur and glamour, promises to be much bigger in its soulful performances by renowned bands and artistes for three continuous days at the strikingly beautiful Nehru Park, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi.

Releasing the information of this festival, Deputy Director General of Indian Council for Cultural Relations, Padmaja said,

“Beginning from March 1st in the majestic city of monuments, the festival has witnessed a footfall of more than 1,00,000 people visiting from different parts of the World during its last 7 editions. This year, it assures an interesting itinerary with artistes from 12 countries, namely Germany, Mauritius, Israel, Korea, Morocco, Spain, Thailand, Syria, Tunisia, Kazakhstan, Austria and India, giving the audience a taste of contemporary jazz from world over.”

With regality and beauty blended into one, jazz connoisseurs will be privy to live performances by famous bands from these countries who will create fusion instrumentation and provide a groovy experience to the audience.

As announced by HE Akhilesh Mishra, “Post successful conclusion of the festival, the bands will perform in 22 cities in India, across the length and breadth of the country, namely Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkatta, Bangalore, Bhubaneshwar, Goa, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Bhopal, Lucknow, Port Blair, Vadodara, Hyderabad, Allahabad, Trivandrum, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Shillong, Guwahati, Varanasi, Patna and Mysore.”
