Kids of Pulwama Martyers are responsibility of NIU, announced university Chairperson during second convocation

Greater Noida (26/02/2019) : Noida International University conducted its 2nd Convocation day during which 40 students were conferred with Ph.D. degrees, while 58 bagged the Gold medals and 16 received M.Phil degrees. Convocation started in traditional by lighting the lamp and with Sarswati Vandana sang by university students.

As Chief Guest of Second Convocation, Chairperson of Noida International University Dr. Devesh Singh on Tuesday said that the India’s befitting reply to the terrorist supportive country has made our Convocation day a mile stone in academic history. He announced that the university takes the responsibility of teaching kids of Pulwana Martyrs.



Amongst the 40 PhD awardees were Brigadier Premjeet Singh Panesar who received Ph.D. in Information Warfare, Retd. Group Captain Vikas Sud who received PhD in Advance persistence threats in Cyber Security and Air Commodore Devesh Vats who was awarded PhD for the research in Protection of Critical Information Infrastructure from emerging Cyber threats. 16 M. Phil degrees and 63 Gold Medals were also awarded to NIU stars.

The occasion was also graced by Thakur Jaivir Singh, Founding Father of the University, Ex. Minister; RajKumari Chauhan, Ex M.P & Head Maruti Education Trust and Abhimanyu Singh, Senior Trustee of MET.

While interacting with media and Paying homage to Pulwama Martyrs, Dr.Vikram Singh, Pro Chancellor of the University said “that due to Air Strike, sons of Sarswati are roaring like lions at NIU.” He made the students take oath that “they are born to win, blend to win and imagine to win”. He said that today’s shelf life of degrees is only 5 years and therefore students have to work very hard. The endeavors of NIU are to make their men and women of steel.

Prof. R.D Sharma Vice Chancellor of the university stated that “the university will focus on more and more research activities in the coming years. Apart from this CSR i.e. Corporate Social Responsibility is also the prime focus of the university. “

Registrar Prof Jayanand wished all the best to the students and their parents on the occasion. All the Director’s and HOD’s were also present on the occasion.
