Delhi likely to report more than 27K Covid cases today; surge to ease up soon: Delhi Health Minister

New Delhi, January 13: Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain on Thursday said that Delhi is likely to report around 27,500 cases today.

Moreover, there is no plan for lockdown; Data indicates the number of COVID cases will go down soon.

Stating about the same he said, Delhi is expected to report around 27,500 COVID cases today as well.
He added, The rate of hospital admissions among COVID patients has been stagnant for the last 4 days, which is a good sign.

Further, Jain informed, Bed occupancy stands at 15% & there is no plan of lockdown.

According to him, “Hospital admission rate has stabilized, which indicates coronavirus cases may go down soon.”

He said, we have got deaths audited & they are mostly among those with comorbidities.

Delhi on Wednesday reported 27,561 new positive cases as well as 40 fatalities in the last 24 hours.

This leads the active caseload in the capital to 87,445 and the positivity rate has reached 26.22%
