New Delhi, 30th June 2023: The amended restrictions released by officials on Friday, travellers on the Delhi Metro can now bring up to two sealed bottles of alcohol per person.
It is crucial to emphasise, however, that alcohol consumption within metro premises remains completely prohibited.
It said, “A committee comprising officials from the CISF and DMRC have reviewed the list and as per the revised list, two sealed bottles of alcohol per person is allowed to be carried on the Delhi Metro at par with the provisions on the Airport Express Line.”
The DMRC has recommended that metro riders maintain proper etiquette while commuting.
According to the official, if any passenger is caught behaving indecently while under the influence of alcohol, appropriate action will be taken against them under the relevant provisions of law.
