New Delhi (20/08/2019) : Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee (DSGMC) former President Manjit Singh GK had secretly signed an agreement with Reliance company and got installed internet provider system of the company at Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Management and Information Technoloy (SGTBIMIT) of the DSGMC. This was disclosed by General Secretary of the DSGMC Harmeet singh Kalka and other office bearers today.

Addressing a press conference along with Senior Vice President Bibi Ranjit Kaur, Junior Vice President Kulwant Singh Bath and other office bearers, Kalka said that almost three months ago members of the DSGMC were entrusted responsibilities of different Institutes of the DSGMC and MPS Chadha was deputed as Chairman and Jabir Singh Jassi as Manager at SGTBIMIT in Gurudwara Nanak Piao complex. He said that in a surprise check by Jassi a room was found locked and on opening its door an internet provider system of the Reliance Company was found there but nobody had any information about it. He said that Jassi immediately got it switched off and then we got a call from Reliance company. He said that two days ago the company gave us a copy of a secret agreement signed by GK with the company. He said that this agreement was signed by GK alone and stamp paper was in his name. He said that I was junior Vice President at that time and Sirsa was General Secretary besides other officer bearers but nobody was ever consulted about this projet. Neither it was brought before the executive not the General House of the DSGMC.

Kalka said that more intriguing is a fact mentioned in the agreement that this will be kept secret always and no copy of this agreement is there in the DGSMC office. He said that maintenance of this project is being done by the DSGMC and it is separately spending ₹45000 per month for internet use of Institute. He said that the DSGMC and its Institutes have got no benefit from the project.

Responding to queries, Kalka said that GK should tell the people why he gave away this premises to company free of cost when the DSGMC and Sikhs have no benefit from it. He said that clauses of the agreement make it clear that its benefit is limited only to Reliance. He said that though GK and ex President Parmjit Singh Sarna are making statements against the DSGMC, scandals are coming out from working during their tenures. He said that in the present case the DSGMC will act according to law.
