Delhi to have 50 more e-buses under DTC’s fleet this month; 300 more such Busses by April

New Delhi, February 13: Delhi government in an initiative towards a pollution-free Delhi is all set to add 50 more e-buses under Delhi transport corporation’s bus fleet in February.

These buses will be equipped with all-state-of the art facilities, further under this initiative 300 more such e-buses including Busses from TATA will be incorporated by the end of April this year.

Further out of 300 busses, 100 will operate from Mundela Kalan, 50 from Rajghat & 150 from newly developed Rohini Sector 37 depot.

Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal in January this year launched its first electric bus & after its successful trial, 50 new E-buses will be included this month.

Launching the bus service in January, Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal said the Delhi government aims to procure at least 2,000 electric buses in the next few years, and termed it the beginning of a new era in public transport. By April next year, the city will have at least 300 more e-buses, the government said.
