Delhi to Mumbai In 10 Hours? Everything You need to know!

New Delhi: Starting from Delhi, The Rail route going to Howrah, via UP, Bihar, is the country’s longest and busiest railroad. Currently, the fastest speed train on the Delhi-Howrah railroad takes 17 hours to complete the journey. Similarly, the fastest speed train on the second most important Delhi-Mumbai route takes about 15 hours.

Now the Railways is planning to reduce the travel time to five hours. Under this plan, the travel time will be reduced by 5 hours to 12 & 10 Respectively.

The Rajdhani train running between New Delhi and Mumbai takes 15.5 hours, but after the track upgradation, it will take maximum 10 hours to cover the distance.

To boost the Railway Commuters. Indian Railways has forwarded the proposal to upgrade the Mumbai and Howrah routes from Delhi to the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs. Once the committee approved this proposal, the work on this project will then be started.

The document, a part of the 100 day-plan being prepared by union ministries on the direction of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, lays down the vision for the national transporter for the next three months
