Ashish Kedia TEN NEWS
A high-level meeting of FONRWA member chaired by UP top cop DGP Javeed Ahmad and IG Zone(Meerut) Ajay Anand took place in Noida today. The core agenda of the meeting was to discuss depleting law and order situation of the city.
A pressing demand was made to make police commissionerate in Noida as soon as possible.
Talking about the meeting NP Singh, President, FONRWA spoke with ten news and highlighted the issues that were raised there. He said,”We have been assured that 4 New police stations will come-up in different Noida sectors very soon. Also the basic problem of having insufficient police force in the city has to be resolved immediately. As of now the honorable DGP has assured that 100 Ladies Constables will be added to city force immediately and steps will be taken to ensure more-viable citizen-police ratio in the city”.
Adding to it A N Dhawan, General Secretary, FONRWA said, “A big and fast growing city like Noida requires its own dog squad and finger-print squad. We also need better surveillance facilities. Also Noida currently has approx 1 policemen for approx 4000-5000 people. Compared to model ratio of 600:1, this is really bad and needs to be improved drastically”.
The meeting was attended by over 220 representatives from different Resident Welfare Associations of Noida.
