Greater Noida News (22/02/2026): In a rapidly evolving global economy driven by artificial intelligence and digital transformation, a large segment of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) continues to remain disconnected from international markets. Addressing this challenge, the District Industries Centre and the Association of Indian Manufacturers have come together to launch a joint initiative aimed at digitally empowering MSMEs across Uttar Pradesh.
The initiative is aligned with the export-oriented development vision of Yogi Adityanath, with a focus on strengthening the state’s role in national and global trade through technology-led growth and innovation.
As part of this effort, a strategic meeting was held between representatives of the Association of Indian Manufacturers and Pankaj Nirvan, Deputy Commissioner at the District Industries Centre. The discussion centered on creating a structured roadmap for digital adoption among MSMEs, improving compliance readiness, integrating artificial intelligence into business processes, and building export-focused capabilities.
During the meeting, Kulmani Gupta, Global President of the Association of Indian Manufacturers, highlighted that systematic digital enablement can unlock significant growth potential for MSMEs. He noted that improved digital infrastructure and global connectivity would enhance international market access and contribute meaningfully to Uttar Pradesh’s export revenues.
Further strengthening the initiative, Umesh Batra, National Secretary General of the association, proposed organizing a large-scale workshop and seminar series. These programs would focus on raising awareness about digital transformation, global compliance norms, onboarding to e-commerce platforms, adoption of AI-driven solutions, and facilitation of international trade mechanisms.
At the district level, Sunil Rai, Chairman for Gautam Budh Nagar, reiterated strong support for MSME development and assured full cooperation to ensure the effective implementation of digital initiatives on the ground.
This collaborative effort represents a significant step toward bridging the digital divide faced by MSMEs. By fostering technology adoption and export readiness, the initiative aims to position Uttar Pradesh as a digitally empowered, competitive, and export-driven industrial hub.
