New Delhi: (23/07/2019) Punjabi Superstar Diljit Dosanjh, Gorgeous Kriti Sanon and Varun Sharma starrer ‘Arjun Patiala’ is one of the most anticipated movies of the year. The film is about a cop named Arjun Patiala (played by Diljit) and a crime journalist named Ritu Randhawa (Kriti).
The co-stars are currently on a promotional spree for the film and are leaving no stones unturned. On tuesday the Trio were witnessed in National Capital Delhi for the movie promotion.
Speaking about the movie Dilijit said, “When Dinesh (Vijan) had offered me Arjun Patiala, the first thing I asked him was what is the objective of the film. They said there is no objective. I didn’t understand why someone would make a movie without any specific purpose. They then said that the film is an out-and-out comedy and it makes fun of itself. They only wanted to make a movie that makes people laugh in cinema halls.”
While Kriti Sanon Said, “Both, Bareilly Ki Barfi and Luka Chuppi are important milestones of my career. These films made people recognise the actor in me. Also, they had not seen me in the world like that before. I was mostly seen in a glamorous avatar. A lot of people didn’t expect me to play a small town girl, so when Bareilly Ki Barfi got the appreciation, it opened a lot more doors for me.”
Varun Sharma said, “I enjoy comedy though it is a very difficult genre. I also like watching it. Comedy is all about reactions and the timing of it and I am told that I am getting better at it. In fact, my dialogues that have made it to the trailer (of Arjun Patiala) were all improvisation that we did while we were shooting. They’re not written.”
