Dishonesty Biggest Curse of Society, Says Dr. P L Maggu, Executive Director GSBA

We spoke with Dr. P L Maggu, executive director of Graduate School of Business and Administration. He is a well-known education reformist of the region and has also been rewarded with several awards including International Kohinoor Award.
Here are the excerpts of Ten News conversation with Dr. P L Maggu
TN: What has been your biggest achievement so far?
Dr.P L: I have established three Institutes and these institutes are doing very well. In IMT I was the director. The course is quite popular and is also internationally well-recognized. Students passing-out from my institute are doing very well for the society and I consider it to be my greatest achievement.
TN: What is your favorite sport?
Dr.P L: My favorite is badminton and I have also won district level awards in it.
TN: What are your favorite books and who is your favorite author?
Dr.P L: Stories by Swami Vivekanand have inspired me. I believe in his philosophy and read his books.
TN: What are the challenges in Life that you might have faced in life so far?
Dr.P L: I have faced many challenges and have overcome them. The great challenge in today’s society is dishonesty which I consider very evil.
TN: Are you a religious person? Do you believe in God?
Dr.P L: I am a religious person. I also fast during Navratra’s.
TN: What is your favorite movie and who is you favorite actor or actress?
Dr.P L: I like Rajkapoor Movie’s. My favorite movie is Mera Naam Joker as it beautifully portrays life’s philosophy in a nice way.
TN: What is your favorite song?
Dr.P L: My favorite is also of the same movie ‘Mera Naam Joker’. I like the title song, “Jeena Yahan, Marna Yahan”.
TN: What is your view on the Narendra Modi government and the work he has done so far?
Dr.P L: Narendra Modi government is working in a very nice way. I also predicted his win in the 2014 elections. I believe he will be able to do the work that has not been done in 60-70 years within 60-70 months only. India has got a workaholic Prime Minister and it is good for our democracy.
TN: What motivational message will you like to give to youngsters?
Dr. P L: I think today leaders want an honest environment. Everyone from the society has to work hard to create an honest society.
TN: What is your expectation from Yogi, CM of Uttar Pradesh?
Dr. P L: I believe Mr. Yogi is married to his work. He is one of those people who want to introduce sacrifice in to common life system. And Mr. Yogi is trying to bring positive change in the society.
TN: What is your Success Mantra?
Dr.P L: My success mantra is one should be very active. Must see society from all angels and should care for everyone irrespective of their financial status. Also one should try to help needy people in the best way possible using the resources that they might have.
