Due to positive attitude and bilateral talks by administration with farmers, clouds of crisis hovering over Noida International Airport seem to be going away now. Taking another step forward, yesterday the administration conducted camps in three villages and did direct talks with the farmers on the issue of land acquisition.

DM B N Singh himself, accompanied with concerned officers reached Sarvhitkari Inter College in Dayanatpur village where the camp was organized inside the premises because it was drizzling outside. Even after the rain large number of farmers reached in the camp.

DM B N Singh explained farmers that government is also concerned for them and that’s why the compensation rate has been increased. Airport will bring prosperity to the area. Based on talks farmers agreed to provide their land with their consent.

Later he also camped in Nangla Chhitar and Nangla Sharif villages that have a Muslim majority population. There also farmers agreed but they demanded a Mosque and Graveyard for them after resettlement. They also demanded to increase the area of land that they will be provided for resettlement.

Meanwhile some of the farmers tried to oppose this, over which they had a heated argument among themselves over the issue.

Further DM Singh assured farmers that “At any cost their land will not be acquired without their consent. But farmers have to understand that it will not only benefit them but also their future generations. It will bring better infrastructure to the area, new business opportunity will be developed, area will have good schools , good hospitals so farmers have to take their decision very wisely”.
